Privacy Policy

1. Scope and provider

This policy applies to the Stemelo iPhone app and the official Stemelo legal and support website. Stemelo is provided by Mehmet CANITEZ under the CAPP Software Apple developer account (“Stemelo,” “we,” or “us”).

Stemelo is designed without a user account. The app’s main audio workflow runs on the device and can be used offline after installation.

2. Audio, video, and project data

When you choose an eligible audio or video file, Stemelo copies it into the app’s protected storage and processes it on your iPhone. The app may create stems, waveform data, tempo and key estimates, beat timing, loop points, mixer settings, and exports.

We do not receive or upload your imported media, extracted stems, file names, media paths, song metadata, waveform content, or saved project content. This data stays on the device until you delete the project or remove the app. iOS device backups may include app data according to your own Apple backup settings.

Stemelo does not download audio from YouTube and does not process protected Apple Music files. Local MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, ALAC, CAF, AIFF, MP4, and MOV files are accepted only when iOS grants access and the format can be decoded.

3. Crash and performance diagnostics

Sentry is used to understand crashes and limited performance problems. Error events may contain the app version, operating system version, broad device class, Core ML model version, processing stage, duration range, sample-rate range, thermal state, and technical error codes. Production performance traces are sampled at 10%; error events are sampled at 100%.

Stemelo disables default personal-information sending, screenshots, view hierarchies, session replay, network tracing, file-I/O tracing, and automatic interaction breadcrumbs. Before an event is sent, the app removes user identity, requests, extra payloads, user-selected file names and media paths, media information, user content, and RevenueCat identifiers. The minimized event is sent directly to Sentry. The app supplies a non-routable placeholder instead of an event IP address, and the dedicated Sentry project is configured not to store source IP addresses.

Diagnostics are used only to maintain reliability, investigate errors, and measure the technical performance needed to operate the app.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat helps Stemelo read subscription status, validate entitlements, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier, product and entitlement identifiers, transaction and renewal state, storefront information, and technical request data. Stemelo does not ask you to create an account and does not send RevenueCat your audio, project content, file name, or media path.

Apple’s and RevenueCat’s own privacy notices govern the data they process as independent service providers. Purchase history remains available through your Apple Account under Apple’s terms.

5. Support and copyright requests

If you submit the form on this site, we process the name, reply email, subject, and message you voluntarily provide. The form first passes through the Stemelo site infrastructure and then sends only those submitted fields, a category identifier, and a random technical reference to the dedicated Stemelo Sentry project so the request can be reviewed and answered. The browser does not send the support event directly to Sentry. We do not forward the request IP address, browser details, page URL, cookies, audio, or attachments in that event.

To deliver and protect this website, OpenAI Sites/Cloudflare infrastructure processes and may record normal connection metadata, including the IP address, request headers, requested path, timestamp, and browser user agent. This hosting metadata is separate from the support event sent to Sentry and is subject to the hosting provider’s security and retention controls.

Do not paste song lyrics, copyrighted recordings, payment details, passwords, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive content into the form. Support data is used only to answer the request, prevent abuse, maintain a record of the resolution, and meet legal obligations.

6. Retention, control, and your choices

• Delete a local project inside Stemelo, or delete the app to remove its local app container from the iPhone.
• Manage, cancel, or restore subscriptions with your Apple Account and the controls provided in Stemelo.
• Ask us to locate, correct, or delete a support request by using the support form and providing the reply email used in the original request.
• You can decline to submit the support form. This does not affect on-device audio processing.

Technical diagnostics and support records are retained only while reasonably needed for security, reliability, support, dispute handling, and applicable legal requirements, subject to the configured retention controls of the service provider. We do not retain a server-side copy of your audio projects because we never receive them.

7. Service providers and international processing

Stemelo uses Apple for App Store distribution and payment, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement infrastructure, Sentry for the limited diagnostics and voluntary support workflow described above, and OpenAI Sites/Cloudflare infrastructure to serve these public pages. Website hosting infrastructure processes the connection metadata described in Section 5. These providers may process data in countries other than yours under their contractual and legal safeguards.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, cross-app tracking, data brokers, or behavioral advertising in Stemelo.

8. Children, security, and changes

Stemelo is not directed to children under 13. We use iOS file protection, data minimization, local processing, transport security, and event scrubbing to reduce risk. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Where law requires it, additional notice or consent will be provided.

9. Privacy contact

Use the official Stemelo support form and select “Privacy request.” Include the reply email that lets us identify your support record. Because the app has no account and does not upload audio, we cannot retrieve local projects from your device.
